Back to Skool for TESCO

Seeing as it's silly season everywhere else, I spotted these mathematical beauties in TESCO Axminster:

Time to get that calculator out.......

  1. OT for this but Tesco and others also show a lack of understanding of what most of us mean by "Ready to eat"...

I frequently report those "half price" errors to my local supermarkets and they look at me with "Get a life" eyes every time.

  2. Years ago a local model shop had a sale on, 20% off Tamyia kits and 30% off Revell kits. The shop was part of a chain and had a pimpley faced yoof manager who programmed the tills thus -
    Tamyia kit price x 0.2
    Revell kit price x 0.3

Needless to say the sale went very well. I ended up with 3 Radio Controlled cars :-)

  4. Turns out this may be more widespread than Axminster - Tesco near Bracknell had the same prices as in the photos.

So take back your Axminster-sleight, Ashley!

  6. Yeah, this morning I was in Tesco and they were selling "twisted" Starburst packs for 18p each. Their "Special Offer" price? - 2 for 50p! Needless to say, I only had one...
